The cartoon tells the story of two young people who love each other – the daughter of a shepherd Anait and Prince Vachagan. The main leitmotif of the fairy tale has been preserved: the patient and intelligent beauty Anait teaches Prince Vachagan to appreciate art. Vachagan, for the sake of his beloved, masters the craft of a weaver, defeats evil and treachery and saves all the inhabitants of the kingdom from the Dark Forces, threatening to emerge from their lair in the Black Mountain and swallow up all living things forever and ever.
