The bright, dynamic musical film “The Fox Book” (the first animated musical in the Soviet Union) presents several stories full of transformations and incredible situations. And they are based on the fables of the 13th century Armenian fabulist Vardan Aygektsi from his collection “The Fox Book”. One after another, full of deep meaning stories about the inhabitants of the animal world, endowed with human vices, replace each other. As in any fable, the moral of the film sounds at the end: “Let the eternal vices not find shelter in the souls, and, having trampled on the threshold, wander back into the fables.
